The International School of Thrissur (TIST) proudly declares our winners of the E-Mun Conference hosted by Excelsior English School, Kottayam.

A delegation of seven students from TIST participated in the E-MUN Conference held from November 23rd to 25th, 2023, which provided a platform for students to engage in simulated United Nations deliberations.

Madhav Menon and Shyam Bhaskar Ram Sathish represented Brazil and Slovenia, respectively, at the UNSC to address the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Salma Rahman represented the United Kingdom at the WHO committee discussing social media and mental health. Balasubramanian Ramakrishnan and Mia David represented the United Kingdom and Brazil, respectively, at the ILO, debating the impact of automation and artificial intelligence on job displacement. Anamithra was chosen to represent Norway at the UN Women's Committee to debate gender parity.

Our delegates represented different countries of their choice and engaged in various activities like research, drafting, lobbying, and debate to address global concerns and develop resolutions. The representatives from TIST actively took part in a variety of events, showcasing their pride and enthusiasm.

The E-MUN Conference was also the venue for a superhero conclave, where Dhruvan Sankar, during the Marvel vs. DC debate, presented Spiderman for Marvel and demonstrated outstanding eloquence throughout the competition. His outstanding performance earned him a special mention, which is equivalent to a third prize, recognizing his excellent contribution to the event.

Participating in the E-MUN Conference expanded students' understanding and created valuable connections. TIST congratulates all students on their outstanding achievement and devotion to academic success and global citizenship, reaffirming its commitment to developing well-rounded individuals capable of making a positive difference on the global stage.
